Our Mission: To bring the love and salvation of Jesus Christ to people in the Deaf community and their families.
You are invited to join us on line or in person (someday soon) to worship!
We want everyone to remain safe and continue social distancing. All our worship services are in-person with an option to join online. We will stream worship to Facebook and YouTube at noon on Sunday.
We live stream all our worship services. Check out Deaf church in American Sign language here! Want to join live? Click the Facebook or YouTube link below.
We worship every Sunday at 12 noon on Facebook and YouTube live. Please, tune in! We enjoy the Deaf church choir, our inspiring drum, and our American Sign language worship. All are welcome.
We care for each other and for our larger community. Every Sunday we offer our food pantry after church, thanks to our partnership with MD Food Bank. If you need something from the food pantry, let us know! We also collaborate with other churches and Deaf Shalom Zone, Inc. to empower the Deaf community.
Our church members come early and stay late. Some places you may see them:
Deaf Shalom Zone seeks to empower Deaf and DeafBlind individuals toward greater Access, Equity, Independence, Opportunity and Unity through our C.A.R.E. model of Case Management, Advocacy, Referral, and Education.
We are stronger together. Donate and be part of our team as we spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our neighbors.

Raechel has been learning ASL since 2003 when she first took the language class back in her freshman and sophomore years of high school. She enjoyed it so much that she ended up aiding for that teacher for her last two years of high school. After that Raechel went to work in the veterinary world eventually becoming a manager of an animal clinic before she left that career to focus on becoming an interpreter. Raechel will graduate from Frederick Community College in December of 2021 with her AA in her Interpreter Prep Program and is currently taking classes for her bachelor’s degree in ASL Interpretation. In her spare time Raechel likes to go hiking with her dog Brooklyn, read, listen to music, go to the beach and try to find new things that interest her.
